ArkT is built with privacy at its core. Your architecture diagrams and code are yours — not ours, not for sale, not for training AI models.
Key Privacy Features:

What We Collect
1. Anonymous Analytics (Optional)
If you consent via the cookie banner, we collect anonymous usage data to improve ArkT:
- Page views and navigation patterns
- Feature usage (which buttons are clicked)
- Error reports (without personal data)
- Performance metrics
What we DON'T collect: Your diagram content, file names, code, or any personally identifiable information.
2. Account Information (If You Create an Account)
- Email address (for login only)
- Display name (optional)
- Account creation date
Note: You can use ArkT without creating an account.
3. GitHub OAuth Tokens (If You Connect GitHub)
- OAuth access token stored in your browser's localStorage
- Never sent to ArkT servers
- Used only for GitHub API calls from your browser
- Revocable anytime in GitHub settings
What We DON'T Collect
- Your diagram content or structure
- Your GitHub repository code
- File contents or names
- IP addresses (beyond what's required for CDN/DDoS protection)
- Device fingerprints or tracking pixels
Data Storage
Your Diagrams
Stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. We have zero access. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
Optional Cloud Sync (Future Feature)
If you enable cloud sync in the future, your diagrams will be:
- Encrypted end-to-end (we can't read them)
- Stored on secure servers (AWS S3 with encryption at rest)
- Accessible only by you
- Deletable anytime
Third-Party Services
GitHub OAuth
- Purpose: Authenticate with GitHub, browse repositories
- Data shared: None from us to GitHub beyond OAuth flow
- Privacy policy: GitHub Privacy
Vercel (Hosting)
- Purpose: Website hosting and CDN
- Data: Standard server logs (IP, user agent) for security
- Privacy policy: Vercel Privacy
Google Analytics (Optional)
- Purpose: Anonymous usage analytics
- Data: Page views, feature usage (anonymized)
- Control: Opt-out via cookie banner

Delete your account and all associated data in Settings, or email us.
Right to Portability
Export your diagrams anytime (JSON format) via the app.
Right to Object
Opt-out of analytics via cookie banner or browser settings.

Data Retention
- Diagrams: Until you delete them (local or cloud)
- Account data: Until you delete your account
- Analytics: 26 months (Google Analytics default)
- Server logs: 90 days (security purposes only)
